The Iron Avenger has a new mission.
Motive Studios (the guys behind Dead Space) has teamed up with Marvel for a brand new Iron Man game. The announcement came via Twitter from the dev's official profile. The game is still in early development, but what we do know is that it will have an original story not tied to any existing video game properties or the MCU.
The Team is reportedly being led by Oliver Proulx who’s worked on prior Marvel projects such as Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, that game's story was amazing, so hopefully, this game is just as good. I hope they’ll show the complexities of Tony Stark and all of his flaws in this game. They have a real opportunity to show off a side of iron that was only hinted at in the movies. DEMON IN A BOTTLE ANYONE!
Following the announcement, the vice president and creative director of Marvel games said "We are thrilled to collaborate with the talented team at Motive Studio to bring their original vision of one of Marvel’s most important, powerful, and beloved characters,” he then continued by saying“Their experience delivering both established entertainment worlds and thrilling gameplay — combined with their authentic passion for the armored icon — will fuel our quest to deliver a love letter to a legendary hero in the form of the Ultimate Iron Man video game.”
I’m not quite sure, and I might be reading too much into it, but that sounded like that would be the title of the game or at the very least where they would be drawing their inspiration from. Either way, Given the talent behind the project, I'm hoping that it will be worth the wait.
